2014 Teacher of the Year

În cadrul unei ceremonii care a avut loc azi, 1 mai, la Casa Albă, Sean McComb, profesor de engleză la Patapsco High School & Center for the Arts  in Baltimore County, a primit de la președintele Barack Obama titlul de National Teacher of the Year.

În fiecare an, nominalizarea este făcută de către un comitet ai cărui membri sunt reprezentanți ai celor mai importante organizații de educație din SUA.

Sean consideră că:“Our schools must provide the opportunity for any individual to become educated and economically competitive. My teaching is built on the belief that relationships and engagement can turn challenges into opportunity for excellence for all students.  As we embrace the truth, we create citizens who can live the American dream.”
