Un Nobel pentru o fiică de profesori

Premiul Nobel pentru literatură pe 2015 a fost ieri acordat Svetlanei Aleksievici din Belarus, pentru ”scrierile sale polifonice, un monument dedicat suferinței și curajului în zilele noastre.”

Pentru că ”realitatea a atras-o ca un magnet, a obsedat-o și a hipnotizat-o”, cărțile ei sunt de fapt colecții de istorii orale, ”romane colective”, ”coruri epice”, mii de voci ale unor oameni obișnuiți care vorbesc despre ei, cei despre care nimeni nu scrie nimic și care nu apar în ziare, dar ale căror vieți sunt de fapt istoria adevărată a unor vremuri de război sau suferință:

”This is how I hear and see the world – as a chorus of individual voices and a collage of everyday details. This is how my eye and ear function. In this way all my mental and emotional potential is realised to the full. In this way I can be simultaneously a writer, reporter, sociologist, psychologist and preacher.”

There are an endless number of human truths … History is only interested in facts; emotions are excluded from its realm of interest. It’s considered improper to admit them into history. I look at the world as a writer, not strictly an historian. I am fascinated by people.”
