A child is like a butterfly in the wind (Schimbarea de paradigmă și reinventarea școlii)

This poem could be starting point of a text of a very good educational policy meant to encourage individualized learning and assessment. 

Unfortunately, a lot of schools do not focus on the progress of each child and do not measure the progress that child makes in comparison with him/herself. Instead, they use standardised tests that compare one child against the other and lead to hard competion instead of collaboration and team work.
